SUMMARY #1: How to install Solaris 7 over the Network ? (fwd)

Hi,

I've just completed the remote installation of the Axil 311 and it was
really easy. I just did a ./add_install_server in the Tools subdirectory
on the CD-ROM and gave it the proper ethernet and IP address of the Axil.
The only small problem was the proper configuration of /etc/dfs/dfstab.

I've ended up with this:

share -F nfs -o root=axil,ro=axil -d "BOOT CD-ROM" /cdrom/sol_7_899_sparc/s0
share -F nfs -o root=axil,ro=axil -d "BOOT CD-ROM1" /cdrom/sol_7_899_sparc/s0/Solaris_2.7/Tools/Boot

I have no idea why this:

share -F nfs -o root=axil,ro=axil -d "BOOT CD-ROM" /cdrom

did not work. The axil could not mount it's directories. I had to
explicitly export the directories on the CD-ROM.

Thanks everbody who e-mailed my after my first summary.
