SUMMARY: How to install Solaris 7 over the Network ? (fwd)

Hi,

Thanks to Casper Dik for his very fast answer. Basically it's
"man add_install_client" and the like. Below is his answer.

Yes, check teh manuals on jumpstart and such.

All you really need to run is "add_install_client" and a script
to make an install server.

All very simple basic steps.

The command can be found in:

/path/to/cd/Solaris_*/Tools

the names of the scripts are

        add_install_client
        setup_install_server

The last step isn't really necessary if you install from CD over
the net; you must make sure that the nfs, rarp, bootparam and tftp server
are started and that the CD is shared (ro,anon=0)
