Thanks for the responses I received regarding my storage issue on the X4200 M2. Most of the responses suggested looking into hardware issues. I worked with the hardware vendor and didn't find any glaring issues on that side; the array showed healthy, including the problem device. This was ultimately tracked down to a label issue on the device. Somehow the label got reverted to an SMI type label. Running format wouldn't allow a relabel and a prtvtoc/fmthard from another disk of the same geometry failed with errors. I had to run a 'format -e', label the device and select EFI label type, re-run prtvtoc/fmthard, and the device and pool became available. The data remained intact. Thanks again for the responses, Tim _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Mon Jul 30 10:01:54 2012
