Summary: Solaris 10 x86 - Unable to detect hard disk

Most of their suggestions had been done.

I did a re-configure on the disks for RAID 5 from the RAID controller 
page. I then
re-initialize the virtual disk group. Rebooted the server and the disk 
was recognised from "format".
"newfs" and "fsck" the new disk and the disk was mounted ready to be used.
