[Summary] logical name for added GigE ports in T5220?

Many thanks for the very quick replies (Anthony D'Atri, Adrian Koester,
Robert Legate, Kenneth Stevens, and Mike Weeks).

First, looking at /etc/path_to_inst indicated that they would also be
e1000g, which indicates that they use the same driver as the onboard
interfaces. Had they been a different driver, they would have shown up
as something else.

Then, `ifconfig -a plumb` simply brought them out so that I could see
them with `ifconfig -a`. I had been afraid to do that before, because I
thought it might mess with the working interfaces. However, it only
issued an alert that they were already up.

So, I'm in business, and the device names are e1000g4 and e1000g5.

Thanks again,

I'm feeling really dumb on this . . . .

I've added an X7280A-2 PCI dual GigE NIC to one of my T5220's. I have
that in PCI0. I have a dual SAS card in PCI1, and a dual Ultra320 SCSI
in PCI2. I've been running with the SCSI for several months. I just
added the SAS and the extra GigE. When I booted it up, the SAS just came
up (I got the bad magic number stuff that you typically get with
unconfigured drives) with my J4200. I tried a `ipconfig -a` and didn't
see anything extra for the new NIC. Then I realized I hadn't done a
`touch /reconfigure`. So, I did that and rebooted.

Now, I can't find anything about the extra interfaces anywhere that
tells me what they should be called. I tried doing an ipconfig plumb
using nxge0 and was told by ipconfig that that was wrong. I have looked
at prtconf and prtdiag and have looked at `show /SYS/MB/RISER0/PCIE0` in
the ILOM console, and it told me it was an Express Module and that it
was Enabled.

So, how do I get my teeth into this so that I can start setting it up?
What is it supposed to be called?

Just as a side note, all the e1000g0,1,2,3 interfaces are in use and
working.
