Thanks to Andrew Hay for the fix. Turns out I had the wrong path to acroread defined in Thunderbird. I can double click pdf's and now Acroready opens. Now if I can only get URL links to open up Firefox. Any tricks to that?? Below is my original question. I'm running ThunderBird email client 1.0.7. " When I receive a pdf document in an email message I'd like the pdf to be " displayed within the body of the email itself is that possible? " " If not, I'd like to be able to click on the pdf enclosure and have " Acroread open. I have acroread installed on my Solaris 9 box but when " double click the pdf enclosure it try's to download and save the pdf " file and never finishes downloading/saving and never opens Acroread. " " I have the pdf extension installed in Thunderbird under " edit/preferences/attachments " and it says automatically perform the associated action with each of the " file types. " Next to pdf it says "open with Acroread" " Is there anything else I need to do to get this to work?
