Aaron Lineberger alineberger@navcirt.navy.mil NAVCIRT System Administrator (757) 417-7957 x8 _____ From: Lineberger, Aaron Sent: Friday, August 12, 2005 4:37 PM To: 'sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org' Subject: StorEdge 6130 Woes I seem to have an interesting problem. I have a brand new 6130 which I have configured with three 25G volumes and have assigned them to a host. On the host I have formatted the volumes and written labels and run newfs -Tv against the devices. I mount it and it shows up just fine as a 25G filesystem. Volume: exptdnld Current partition table (original): Total disk cylinders available: 12798 + 2 (reserved cylinders) Part Tag Flag Cylinders Size Blocks 0 root wm 128 - 12797 24.75GB (12670/0/0) 51896320 1 unassigned wu 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 2 unassigned wu 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 3 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 4 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 5 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 6 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0 7 unassigned wm 0 - 127 256.00MB (128/0/0) 524288 HOWEVER... When I try to cp or cpio another 19G directories contents into the new filesystem it fills up to almost 4G and then cpio and cp state the filesystem is full and there is no space left on the device: Filesystem kbytes used avail capacity Mounted on /dev/dsk/c5t0d0s0 25943320 3966616 21717272 16% /mnt Sure enough, I try to vi and save a test file in the directory and it complains that there is no space left on the device. Any ideas where the other 21G of free space is hiding?
