Thanks to Ronny Martin Kevin P. Inscoe Christian Iseli Brandon Haberfeld Casper Dik for there fast help. I just had to do an "add_drv random" to create the entry in /etc/name_to_major , after which it was no problem to create the devices. Thanks again Soeren -----Urspr|ngliche Nachricht----- Von: Schaper, Soeren [mailto:Schaper@media-saturn.com] Gesendet: Dienstag, 10. As I am not able to do a reboot I used Andrew J. Caines fine summary here at sunmanagers. The problem is that I have no entrys for random within the /etc/name_to_major and so can not create the devices. Is it possible to just edit the /etc/name_to_major and add these entries, using a major number not alreday used ? Thanks Soeren _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagers _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Tue May 10 09:10:45 2005
