SUMMARY - ufsdump incr of loopback filesystem ?

What i require is not possible, ufsdump can only backup disk partition
- not loopback filesystems.

Hi All,

Im trying to do incr ufsdump of  directories only ( no whole
filesystem. )

eg /export/home/user1

not whole of /export/home

reason - seem to recall cannot do incr as if not ufsdump of filesystem
then dumpdates is not appended, dumpdates i only appended on a ufsdump
of the whole filesystem involved.

.....

So assumed that if i create a loopbackfs eg

mount -F lofs /tobackup /export/home/user1

then ufsdump the /tobackup i could then do incr

...

however

i get DUMP: Cannot find filesystem mount point for `/tobackup'


any ideas,

am i making sense ?
