Hi All, OK I got zero replies but for completeness my solution was to use the following syntax: #flarcreate -n "some archive name" -t /dev/rmt/0c ie /dev/rmt/0c not /dev/rmt/0 Looks like you need to completely specific the tape device, I guess 0h etc work too.
