[SUMMARY] (no success) Problem with DLT "DEC TZ 87"

Hy Sunmanagers

Beside the problem (or warning) at startup i couldn't find a way to
get the tape working. I tried different configurations in st.conf
and sgen.conf with no success. It's also possible that the tapedrive
has a hw damange but i could not verify it because i have no other
(similar) tape-drive.

But hey, thanks very much to all sunmanagers. Especialy to:

- Darren Dunham
- Joe Fletcher
- Wade A. Lich

As always i've got replies within a hour! Hey, that's the support
which i would like to get from sun :-) (or Digital-DEC-HP) *g

They pointed out, that I should update with the latest gml patch.

I tried the latest Recommended Cluster (Sol9) but the error message
was still present.

Unfortunately I have no time to dive more in this problem...

Anyway, thanx very much and bye

Bernd
