I needed to change my CFLAGS and LDFLAGS to enable 64 bit: CC=gcc CFLAGS="-O2 -m64 -I/usr/local/include" LDFLAG="-s -m64 -R/usr/local/lib -L/usr/local/lib" Now its compiled fine. Thanks!
