Thanks for the numerous replies with most stating to run fsck -F ufs -o b=32 c1t0d0s2. Which worked! Original Question: I have a E420 server with Solaris 8 and I get the following message after bootup. The system appears to be running fine except for one disk used for storage which we get the following message. Disk 2 cannot read; block 16, unexpected inconsistency. Bad Superblock magic # wrong use alternate superblock to supply information (c1t0d0s2). We tried running a newfs on the disk and also ran a newfs -Nv c1t0d0s2 for Superblock info and get kicked out with the message "cannot read block 16" before it completes. Any sugestions on fixing this other then replacing it? _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Thu Jul 8 12:44:49 2004
