Hi, I'm sorry that I haven't been able to write this earlier but I have been on a business trip. Anyway, I've been able to close down most of the ports by editing /etc/inetd.conf and removing some files in /etc/rc2.d (changed their name so they wont start up). But when I use 'nmap <computername>' I still get: PORT STATE SERVICE 21/tcp open ftp 22/tcp open ssh 4045/tcp open lockd So I've apparently managed to close down most of the ports. ssh and ftp should be running. I don't know about lockd, should that one be up? Johan _____________________________________________________________ Xtreme Resource Services - For Free!
