Hello, All replies doubted that /opt and /opt/chroot are not on the same filesystem, but the fact is they are. The backup run by a bi-weekly cron job was working fine in 01/01/2004. All directories under /opt including chroot were backed up without any problem. I re-checked the last tape and found it did miss the chroot directory under /opt. How did the mistery happen? I still don't know. Thanks everyone for your valuable time.
