Good day, thanks a lot for your replies! Kristopher March, Russ Poffenberger, Joe Fletcher, Tom Welsh, Gary Chambers, Bertrand Hutin, Tim Evans, Bill Voight, Joachim Jdckel. Forgive me if I missed someone's name... The consensus is that basically, any external SCSI drive with adjustable block size (adjustable to 512B, for example) should work. Also, the ebay is probably the best place to look for it, since not many stores still have it in stock and even if they do, the ebay is cheaper. Among the recommended models: Toshiba, Plextor (specifically, PLEXTOR PX-32TSi), Sony, Pioneer. Only one that was confirmed as not working: TEAC CD-516S (Strange, I remember booting SunOS 4.1.3 off the TEAC SCSI CD-ROM few years ago, though it must be a different model) Tim also suggested setting up a network boot server with a CD/image. I'll think about it, thanks. Thanks a lot again, Michael _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Tue Feb 10 11:55:16 2004
