Hello, Original question: > I'm troubleshooting a server app that listens on a certain (unprivileged) > UDP port. I'm suspecting some sort of contention is taking place at the app > level and would like to check if there are packets remaining to be processed > in the network input buffer for that particular port. > > IIRC, I was able once to see that value directly from netstat output in some > other Unix (Tru64 perhaps), but now I cannot manage to find the right switch > in Solaris 8 netstat. Anybody more knowledgeable than me maybe? Thanks to Casper Dik and Sandwich Maker who responded. They suggested to use netstat to detect overflow at the input buffer and snoop to inspect particular packets. Unfortunately these techniques proved unhelpful to actually determine current queue status. It seems that I hit a hard one this time, I'll have to continue searching... thanks to all cl. _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Thu Nov 20 13:06:23 2003
