Fast response, plenty of guru's (or am I the dummy ?) Solution : >From host A: ssh -X serverB >From host B: ssh -X serverC >From host C: xterm, or whatever X-application. Works fine, but requires home-directory on each server to create ~/.Xauthority file, and "Xforwarind yes" in the sshd_config file on all servers. Hi all, I want to know if this is feasable : from workstation/desktop A with a private IP address (10.*), I connect with "ssh" to an intermediate host B (with public IP address) getting an interactive shell from its "sshd". Consider "B" to be like a proxy host in -say- some DMZ. >From B then, I need to connect accross the internet with "ssh" to a >remote host C (with public IP address), where in turn I get an interactive shell from its "sshd". Now on this host C, I need to launch an X-11 program, displaying back onto the display of my workstation/desktop A ... How about that ? I know about tunneling X-11 through a single SSH-connection back to the originating host, but how to achieve that the X-11 will go from C into a SSH tunnel back to B, then back into a SSH-tunnel towards A ? Awaiting anxiously any suggestions !
