Hi, Original problem was the nscd daemon bleeding memory at a rate of knots. Got a workaround courtesy Andy Harrison of SUN Tech Support. " This could be related to bug 4660789 / 4407409 (RBAC related) fixed in Solaris 9. A workaround is to disable the exec_attr cache by adding the following line to /etc/nscd.conf and then restart nscd: enable-cache exec_attr no " I've tested the fix and on a machine with nscd starting around 130Mb and growing it has remained consistently around the 3Mb mark after restart.
