As we see here the PPID is '1' , that is non other than init process,we have to kill init.that in turn makes system reboot :(( Not advisable to do this on Production box.As all said,there is no big problem with a few defunct processes as they only use a small amount of system resources. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
