Dear managers, i've asked, why `df' shows more available space for /tmp than is available in the swap-partition. The answer came from several sites, here is the version of "Luis Payano" <payanol"at"corp"dot"earthlink"dot"net>: > " A system's virtual swap space is equal to the sum of all it's physical > (disk-backed) swap space plus a portion of the currently available > physical memory." and since i have 16 GB RAM in that machine, that answers my question. With best regards, Bernt Christandl _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Tue Jul 22 10:46:13 2003
