Dear managers, thanks a lot to Mike Keplinger Bobby Williams David Stempnakowski and many others that tried to help me. I went through the whole setup once again, waited for the resync and tried again. This time it worked. Could not find out what went wrong the first time. However, it seems to be import to find the correct labels for booting the disks. Some documents indicate to do ls -l /dev/rdsk/c1t1d0s0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 74 Jun 26 17:27 /dev/rdsk/c1t1d0s0 -> ../../devices/pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4/fp@0,0/ ssd@w21000004cffd1290,0:a,raw and then use boot /pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4/fp@0,0/disk@w21000004cffd1290,0:a,raw at the ok prompt. This fails with "Can't open boot device". I don't know why. Does anyone? However, "boot disk1" or "boot /pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4/fp@0,0/disk@1,0" does work. I am a happy manager now!!! :-) Thanks a lot to all, Andreas _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Fri Jun 27 11:59:23 2003
