SUMMARY: no space left on device

Hello
Thanks to all those who replied .
The solution is that my file system was out of i-nodes so I took 
the backup of the file system and restored the same and it is 
working fine

I gave the newfs command as
newfs -i 2048 /dev/rdsk/cxtxdxsx

it increased the no of inodes and my file system is alright now.
