My thanks to, Paul Roetman, Allan A McAleavy and WC -Sx- Jones?. This a newly configured cluster, and I wasnt sure if I should expect to find Oracle startup scripts in /etc/init.d as you do with most other run scripts. However the above confimed that this is the case, and as there are no Oracle scripts in /etc/init.d that is why I did not see it on rebooting the system. many thanks for your time. Alan. ________________________________________ Alan Scott Solaris System Administrator (Contract) News Support, BBC News Room 1244, BBC Television Centre, Wood Lane, London, W12 7RJ.
