Thanks to all. But the prize goes to: Ed Stankevich Thank You Ed. Who suggested I check the MAC address of the cards. It would seem that in the NVRAM local-mac-address?=false was the default. Changing this to 'true', and then rebooting solved the problem i.e. eeprom "local-mac-address?"=true -----Original Message----- From: David Price [mailto:dprice@plugnpay.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2003 3:19 PM To: sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org Subject: Veritas VCS This may be slightly off topic but I am having no luck on the Veritas HA group. I have 3 brand new 480's running 2.8 Installed Veritas Database Ed/HA today. i.e. Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) I am now getting 50 - 85% packet loss on all of the public IP interfaces. The 2 built in interfaces, ce0 and ce1 are plugged into separate switches. Each machine also has an RSC card (great thing) plugged into the one of the same switches. Packet loss is only showing on the 2 internal IP interfaces, ce0 and ce1. RSC IP interface is good. This started today coincident with the installation of VCS. All other equipment plugged into the same switch are showing no errors. Packet loss is being measured using Matts Traceroute from another server on the network. Any thoughts.
