In typical Sunmanagers tradition, here's the summary. Many people stated that they have either gotten the exact same email from directmidrange.com or they've gotten a similar one a few months ago. Someone stated that they had been a customer of directmidrange.com previously, and were not pleased with the experience: "Interesting that you are getting mail from them. We bought from them once and will never do it again. (We did not get any spam.)... We have had nothing but problems with the machines (harddrives dieing, some of the stuff looked "used" when we bought it new)... Also from what I have heard from talking to Sun, they are not an authorized or prefered vendor....(One of the two, can't remember which one.)" I've also been told that someone has contacted the management of directmidrange.com and made them aware of the situation. It would appear that some level of targetted spamming is occuring. Whether it's an amateur operation mining list archives for email addresses, or a company actually selling lists of Sun leads is unknown. Please bear this in mind next time you get a Sun specific cold-email to the same address you subscribe to Sunmanagers with. Thanks for all the great replies!
