Hiya Seems that the distribution of zlib included with GnuPG either doesn't like Solaris 2.6 (there's one PR on GPG raised against this, allegedly fixed) or was clashing with the SMCzlib I already have installed. Fix: ran gnupg's configure with --without-included-zlib --with-zlib=/usr/local Cheers!
