Hi all, Thanks for all the replies. Everybody wondered as to why I should be backing up a swap partition and explained what a swap partition is. I am aware of the fact that swap partition need not be backed up. But, we have a client, who backs up swap partition and insists on knowing the reason for the failure. One interesting thing I've noticed on the swap partition is that apart from a couple of regular files, we have 2 "door files". I want to know, if these would cause problem in backing up the partition Regards _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Tue Apr 22 01:52:19 2003
