Thanks to the three SunRay administrators who replied to my original posting. Tim Chipman Allan West Pablo Jejcic Thanks to the Sun Systems Engineer who showed us how to do this. Pat l. (at Sun.com) Original Question (summarized: original below) Recently, the traning department has requested the ability to monitor any SunRay device's seesion. The training department wants the capability to watch the actions of a particular call center session. Here is what we found: 1. The SunRay 2.0 server software does not have a feature to allow another SunRay device or workstation to view an active SunRay sessions. 2. vnc (VNC) will not accomplish this either. 3. This can be accomplished by * starting a VNC session on a SunRay device using the vncserver process. * capturing/viewing that specific VNC session with the vncviewer process * attaching to that specific VNC session on another SunRay device, sparc, pc. 4. This attaching to that specific VNC session in a view-only or a interactive mode. We will be working on the scripts, etc. to accomplish this after our SunRay is up and running. After the scripting is completed, I expect to be able to share our scripts to any interested parties. Thanks again!
