Hi Guys, Thanks for all your replies. I have come to the conclusion that the media I am using (burned CDs) to install sol. 9 is bad. So, I will try downloading the files again and will try reinstalling. If it does not work then there is always Sol. 7 that I know works just fine. Thanks again for all your replies. -simran >-----Original Message----- >From: sunmanagers-admin@sunmanagers.org >[mailto:sunmanagers-admin@sunmanagers.org] On Behalf Of Simran Hansrai >Sent: 28 January 2003 14:40 >To: 'sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org' >Subject: Solaris Installation Error > > >Hi Guys, > >I am trying to install sol. 9 but keep getting the following error: > >Error: Could not open file /a/etc/vfstab >Could not create the file system mount table (/etc/vfstab) > >Any ideas as to what might be causing this error?
