=======Original posting below========== Wow, that was quick - sunmanager's a really fast list! Special thanks to Jo Ashmore Dominic Clarke Beat Jucker Jo's answer pointed me in the right directions, so I include it here: ================/snip/=================== We run health check scripts that warn us if an UltraSPARC II goes over 65 deg C or an UltraSPARC III goes over 95 deg C. Documentation from Sun is sketchy at best, but we have spoken to support & these figures seem to be the best we can get ==============/snap/===================== Okay, so I don't have to worry - the highest temp. I've ever seen was 57 deg C on an E450 when our climate control went down due to a power failure... Hi folks, just a quick question: What's the maximum temperature a SPARC (II or III) CPU module can have before the OPB stops the machine due to overheating?! Searched docs.sun.com, but the only info I'ver found is that the OPB WOULD shutdown the machine when it detects an overheating condition - but, there's no information abt. the threshold... Thanks in advance, keep on hackin', Harald ============================================ Harald Husemann Systems Engineer Teammanager Unix administration and Configuration Management Materna Gmbh - Vo_kuhle 37 - D-44141 Dortmund, Germany Phone: +49-231-5599-8684 Mobile: +49-179-2300651 _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagers _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Wed Feb 5 12:15:13 2003
