Dear Experts, Thanks for your prompt response especially to Casper Dik for solution of my problem. Problem: Dear Experts, I am facing a very awkward problem. Two days before, I was able to do telnet in the server (hepdelhi) 'Sun-Fire-280R'. The operating system is Solaris 8. Now, the error I got ------------------------------------------------------------------------ $ telnet hepdelhi Trying 203.196.136.52... telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused $ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- How should I resolve the above problem ? Waiting for your response. Solution: The /etc/inetd.conf file was not present. So, I made a link to the file /etc/inet/inetd.conf . Now every thing is working fine. Have a nice day , Manoj Kumar Jha Delhi University. _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Tue Feb 4 07:05:03 2003
