Hi all, Let me summarise the responses. Broun Bevan, Alex Stade, and Cian O Sullivan responded to my query. Many a thanks to them :-) All of them suggested me firewalls like IPFilter. I guess I too need to consider something like that. But I am not sure how these firewalls can conclude on the potentially bad packets, if my port for a specific sercvice (http, for example) open.
