May I add; it is available on the sun freeware site http://www.sunfreeware.com/ But it's nice to hear that it is available on OS 8 by default. I've been using this for the past 5 years or so, since Solaris 2.6, and it has always done well. VNC I believe is like pcanywhere or timbuktu, except it has a very small footprint. http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/index.html -----Original Message----- From: Zaigui Wang [mailto:zaigui@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, December 19, 2002 10:53 AM To: sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org Subject: Summary: how to run an interactive command from one host and take over the control from anther The answer is screen :) It seems that Solaris 8 comes with screen program by default. If you cannot find it, do a google search. Many also mentioned that vnc can do that too, though I have not yet tried.
