My definitive answer was from Hichael Morton - you can't. you have to remove the old disk (and its wwn) and install the new disk (and its wwn) as the boot disk. there is an infodoc on this but i am afraid that i don't have it anymore. (i no longer support the e3500d) you should be able to search the sunhelp archives for sun's support areas and find it. what we ended up doing with all of our exx00 series machine is booting from and external cabinet. this, among other things, avoided the wwn issue on the boot drives.
