SUMMARY: Problems configuring a remote printer

Everyone,
The solutions was to go to the network admin
and tell him, for the 4th time, that it must be
the firewall.
This was proven by doing an unsuccessful telnets to the printer
(telnet <ip.address> and telnet <ip.address> 9100).

Meanwhile, the printer was pingable via the command line.
I finally convinced the network admin to check the firewall again.
He then entered the server's IP address to be accepted on the
remote site.
After that, presto!

Thanks,
Robert Richardson.

I would like to thank the following persons for responding and/or
communicating with me:
