Thanks to Dave Dunaway <bela@nivek.org>
(total forgot about this...) anyway

get device address from 2nd network card
i used 'dmsg' and got teh following info
	hme1 is /pci@1f,0/pci@1/IntraServer,hme@3,1

as root; init 0 <--: bring system down
at the OK prompt:

ok nvalias net2 /pci@1f,0/pci@1/IntraServer,hme@3,1
ok setenv use-nvramrc? true
ok devalias net2
net2 /pci@1f,0/pci@1/IntraServer,hme@3,1

so i can now do a : boot net2 - install
