Thank you to everyone who responded. The solution was to make sure that the old jumpstart server was not on the network. Once I did an "ifconfig qfe1 down" on that interface, I was able to test the boots of all versions of the OS. That makes sence, I just didn't think of it. Thanks again! Nicole ------- Forwarded Message From: nskyrca@appliedtheory.com To: sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org Subject: jumpstart error: mismatched version of /boot Sender: sunmanagers-admin@sunmanagers.org Hi, I am trying to setup a new jumpstart server to send to a remote site. I have an old server which is running Solaris 2.6. The new server is running Solaris 8. I was hoping that I could just restore my jumpstart filesystem (which holds all of the images and scripts) and be able to install. I'm testing it out, and when I try to do a "boot net - install" I get the following error: panic - boot: mismatched version of /boot interface: new boot, old kernel Does anyone have any ideas? Do I actually have to run the setup_install_server script for each version of the OS image? Thanks!
