Thank you very much for all the reply's to my problem: I took the easiest route and found a "Solaris 2.6 Hardware 3/98" CD which worked fine. The original one I was using was an old version of Solaris 2.6 I received lots of good info from people and will use it in the future. Thanks again! Jeff --------------------------------------------------------- Original Problem: I am trying to install Solaris 2.6 on an Ultra 10 and having the following problem when trying to boot from the install CD ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------- Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (Ultra Sparc IIi 440mhz) Rebooting with command: boot cdrom Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/cdrom@2,0:f File and Args: boot: cannot open kernel/unix Enter filename [kernel/unix]: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------- I have tried multiple 2.6 CD's I can boot fine from a Solaris 8 CD.
