Thanks to John C. Julian for his help. Here is his response: > I print my own DLT barcode labels with a program named GNU-barcode and a ksh > script I wrote. I run it on a Linux box but it comes with source code so you > should be able to get it to run on Solaris. My script takes the starting > number and does a complete page then draws draws lines around the barcodes > so I know where to cut. > > barcode is available from: > ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/barcode/ > or > ftp://gnu.systemy.it/pbu/barcode/ I started using this, and while I was in the course of finding which barcodes were readable by the L404, I stumbled upon this link: http://www.sunmanagers.org/archives/1998/0359.html in the old archives. I should have used a less specific search and I would have found it in the archives. Jeff Jewett had a perl script which created postscript labels. This ended up doing the trick in the end.
