Thanks to all who replied Doug Granzow Steve Hunt Michael Kriss Andreas Hoeschler Cian O'Sullivan Christophe Dupre It turns out that the Solaris 8 02/02 release that I am using has the Netra drivers in it so that I did not have to apply the "required" patch from Sun. I can't find that statement anywhere in the release notes but it does work that way. After I had corrected that I had a problem with the install hanging. I was advised to use snoop to see what was going on. The nfs mount from the client was failing. I stopped and started the nfs server and rebooted the Netra and the install went without any problems. Thanks again for all the help. al Original message - I have a Netra X1 that I trying to install off a network install server. I followed the instructions in the Solaris 8 Advanced Installation guide to create the install server and have applied the Netra X1 patch from Sun to the install image on the server. Both systems are in the same subnet. Here is what happens: Executing last command: boot net Boot device: /pci@1f,0/ethernet@c File and args: Timeout waiting for ARP/RARP packet SunOS Release 5.8 Version Generic_108528-13 64-bit Copyright 1983-2001 Sun Microsystems, Inc.
