Many humble apologies.  If I'd read today's sunmanagers backlog, I would
have found Elizabeth Jones' excellent summary identifying binutils as the
culprit.  I hit one of sunfreeware's for a binary and added it, and it
appears to have resolved the issue.  Many thanks!
