SUMMARY: how to clear data quickly

Thank all of you who provide quick solutions (more than ten people replied in two hours)
it appears 

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s2 bs=1024k and 
newfs are among the top lists.
i tried both. dd takes much longer time than newfs
there are more complicated methods, however
some gurus also mention this depends on how much effort you want to invest and how sensitive your date is.
in my case , newfs is quite enough.
