i was just wondering what would happen if the server from

mount the hard mounted resource ??
            what do u think

The processes accessing the nfs mounts will hang .

Linux 2.2 and 2.4 process trying to access nfs partitions will
hang. You'd
have to kill the process trying to access the nfs

Sun's will ignore and keep on going.

least from my experience.
