Thomas [netsun7@hotmail.com] Well, sorry to post this trivial question. The behavior of Blade is not like the machine I knew before (Ultra 60). I have never seen the Ultra 60 go to this hibernation mode (I mean spinning down the HD and taking a long time to wake up ) ! I have searched sunsolve and docs.sun.com for a "Standby mode" keyword not for power management ! Here is the solution: * use these utilities to control the power management - /usr/openwin/bin/dtpower - pmconfig * Kill the powerd process, and disable the powerd startup script (/etc/rc2.d/S85power ). You may also rename /etc/power.conf file. Thanks.
