SUMMARY: Problems with gcc on Solaris 7

Hi all....
The solution:
Casper Dik was closest to the actual problem. He said
that the patches i ran may not have updated all
required packages. This was the case, because I did
not have quite some packages installed on the system,
but running the install_cluster script which comes
with the patch cluster did not complain. I guess it
should have reported missing packages in some format.

So finally
1) I reinstalled Solaris 7 (Developer meta
cluster...to ensure all required packages got
installed).
2) pkgadded gcc
3) set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
and...it worked!!!!
