The commands suggested are following :-

psrinfo -v, top, dmesg, format, /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag
prtconf -pv, prtvtoc, devinfo, sysinfo, ifconfig -a
cfgadm -al, afbconfig

Bertrand Hutin suggested Sun explorer.
Rick Waegner suggested docs.sun.com for Sun monitor resolution.
Mark McManus suggested memconf
                          (http://netnow.micron.net/~tschmidt/unix.html)
                          speed=`ndd -get /dev/$base_net link_speed` (hme)
                          mode=`ndd -get /dev/$base_net link_mode` (hme)
                          /usr/sbin/afbconfig -dev /dev/fbs/<afb0> -prconf
                          prtvtoc -s /dev/dsk/${disk}s2
Larye Parkins suggested /usr/sbin/fbconfig -list to get list of frame buffer
                        devices and then
                        /usr/sbin/fbconfig -dev /dev/fbs/YYY -prconf
                         where YYY is one of the above frame buffer devices
                         to get monitor resolution, etc.
Herpers, Joseph suggested a combination of prtdiag and Sun VTS
David Foster suggested http://www.magnicomp.com/sysinfo/sysinfo.shtml for
                         sysinfo freeware program and also sent three
                        scripts which give info about SIMM/DIMM memory,
                        resolution and other bits of system info for admins.
