SUMMARY: Solaris 8 Jumpstarts

Received many replies. Problem was resolved by using the 01/01 Operating
environment included with the Netra AC200's. Seems the 10/00 release did
not have the sufficient drivers to allow over-network booting of the
Netra's.

Next up: Resolving the issue of automatic selection of IPV6 and Kerberos
security......LOL

Subject: Solaris 8 Jumpstarts

Setting up Solaris 8 jumpstart environment. Trying to net boot a client and
get the following error...I followed the instructions as close to word by
word as possible in the Advanced Installation Guide and still seem to be
presented with constant errors and problems...I have successfully created
jumpstarts in Solaris 2.5, 2.5.1, and 2.6, but seem to be beaten down by
Solaris 8.

krtld: load_exec: fail to expand cpu/$CPU
krtld: error during initial load/link phase
panic - boot: exitto64 returned from client program
Program terminated

Client is Netra T1 AC200, Solaris 8 10/00 w/ 10/00 Operating Enviroment
installed on jumpstart/boot server.

Anyone that has some insight on what avenue to take would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,

Bryan Moore
