I've successfully jumpstarted X1s from a 01/01 jumpstart server that I
had
modified using modify_install_server and mis.netra-x1.259-3836-02.zip.
The
modify script didn't successfully apply all the patches in the zip, but

it
applied 110383-01:8 which seemed to be significant. Actually, when I
got
the zip the email it came in said that some patches would fail to apply

and
just to continue.

But you seem to be failing adding a package rather than patches.
Anyway, if
you now try and get this zip file from sun, it tells you that the
changes
are now incorporated in 4/01. So, if I were you, I'd delete the install

image (cd /export/install; /bin/rm -r install-2.8) and put on 4/01.
The only caveat is that there have been recent emails to this list
where
there have been issues using 4/01 jumpstart servers with X1s.

By the way, it doesn't matter what OS version your jumpstart server
is....
you can even use a linux box as long as you're using NFS v3.

Robyn Mills
