SUMMARY: SCSI errors

Hi,

Consultation with SUN tech support suggests replacing two of the disks in
the arrays. Although the errors appear to be distributed across a number of
drives it seems there are two particular units triggering the
faults. I guess these units are just not performing to spec and dragging the
whole rig down.

Cheers

Joe

Subject: SCSI errors

Hi All,

Systems are E420Rs, A1000 disk arrays, L280 tape loader with DLT8000,
Solaris 8 + patches, RM6.2.2 + patches. Recently I'm seeing errors as shown
below. They seem to crop up during backup. Storage is attached via dual port
FWDiff controllers. If I try format/repair on the blocks listed bad then
format returns "block does not appear bad. repair anyway?" I've got similar
errors on about half a dozen different disks. Any suggestions as to
cause/cure?
